When specimens are being transmitted to NHMLA, we require that collection information (including collecting permit information) is submitted before or with the specimens.
To make it easier for us to integrate the data into our specimen database, we request that you use one of the data submission spreadsheets linked below.
Please contact us with any questions about the data spreadsheets, or if you want to make changes to the spreadsheet formats. If you already have data in digital form, you may wish to contact us first, before reformatting your data into our spreadsheet — it may be easier all around if we take your data in your “native” format.
Pick one of the following two data spreadsheets:
- If your data come in a form where there are collecting stations, each of which has
one-to-many specimens, use this spreadsheet, which has separate tabs for
station/collection and specimen data records:
