Description: Variable in size, color, and shape, with rounded whorl shoulders, small but solid spines, and a distinct channel at the suture between whorls.

Size: 70-150 mm.

Ecology: Inhabits intertidal mud flats.

Geological range: Pliocene-Recent (5-0 million years ago).

Geographic distribution: Caribbean.
