- (Taxon-specific: Order Diplostraca) Ridge-like elevation of posterior hinge line; produced into series of serrations by continued growth lines. [Stachowitsch, 1992]
- (Taxon-specific: Order Mysida) In certain mysidaceans, one of several elevated ridges on carapace. According to position one may distinguish dorsal, midlateral, and lower lateral keels. [Stachowitsch, 1992]
- (Taxon-specific: Class Ostracoda) Posterior extension of carapace.
