Wall

• (Taxon-specific: Subclass Cirripedia) In unstalked barnacle, calcareous wall surrounding body; closed dorsally by operculum. Consists of series of up to eight overlapping/articulating compartmental plates (from anterior to posterior: single rostrum, paired rostrolaterals, laterals, carinolaterals, and single carina) encircling body.
