Definitions

Suborbital region

• Narrow area bordering lower margin or orbit; may be ill-defined or indistinguishable. [Moore and McCormick, 1969]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Decapoda) On anteroventral surface of carapace, region below each orbit.
  (syn. posterior subneural artery, inferior abdominal artery, ventral abdominal artery) [Stachowitsch, 1992]
• (Taxon-specific: Infraorder Brachyura) Narrow region bordering lower margin of orbit, sometimes defined, sometimes indistinguishable.
