Posterior gastric pit

• One of two small depressions near mid-line of dorsal exterior of decapod carapace marking insertion point of stomach muscle. [Moore and McCormick, 1969]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Decapoda) On carapace, one of two small depressions along midline marking insertion of stomach muscle. [Stachowitsch, 1992]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Decapoda) One of two small depressions dorsally near midline on exterior of carapace marking out point of insertion of stomach muscle. [McLaughlin, 1980]
