Occludent teeth
- In cirripeds, small projections on occludent scutal margin formed by extensions of external growth ridges that interdigitate with similar teeth on margin of opposed scutum. [Moore and McCormick, 1969]
- (Taxon-specific: Subclass Cirripedia) Barnacle plate feature: one in a series of small projections along margin of scutum facing aperture (occludent margin). Formed by extensions of growth ridges; fits into corresponding structures of opposed scutum when aperture is closed. [Stachowitsch, 1992]
- (Taxon-specific: Subclass Cirripedia) Small projections on occludent scutal margin, formed by extensions of external growth ridges, interdigitating with teeth on margin of opposed scutum. [McLaughlin, 1980]
