Helmet
- (Taxon-specific: Order Cladocera) Helmet-shaped elongation of anterior margin of head in certain individuals of a population. Appearance of helmeted individuals and shape of helmet is governed by environmental and genetic factors. (See also cyclomorph). [Stachowitsch, 1992]
