Abstract
Two new species of Stenothoe, S. penelopae and S. hansgeorgi, from New South Wales (Australia) are described and compared with morphologically similar ones worldwide. A key to all hitherto known Stenothoe species is offered and one species, Stenothoe coutieri Chevreux, redescribed. One new genus within the Stenothoidae, Sandrothoe, is erected and its relation to other genera discussed. Key-words: Amphipoda, Stenothoidae, nuovo genere, nuove specie, Australia.
