Abstract: The isopod family Hadromastacidae Bruce and Müller, 1991 is recorded from the Indian Ocean for the first time. Hadromastax dinamoraze sp. nov., the third species in the genus, is described from the Mascarene Island of Rodrigues, Republic of Mauritius, in the western Indian Ocean, where it has been found to occur widely on coral-reef habitats from the intertidal reef flat to the reef slope to depths of about 18 m.
