Trichobranch

• A type of decapod gill bearing a series of radiating unbranched filaments. [Brusca and Brusca, 2002]
• Gill of filamentous structure with hair-like projections from axis (e.g., crayfish).
  (syn. trichobranchia) [Moore and McCormick, 1969]
• Gill with filamentous structure of hairlike projections from axis. [McLaughlin, 1980]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Decapoda) Type of gill whose axis bears series of undivided, filament-shaped branches.
