Prehensile

• Adapted for grasping or seizing. [Butler, T. H.]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Isopoda) Adapted for holding or clinging. [Kensley and Schotte, 1989]
• (Taxon-specific: Order Isopoda) Appendages (usually pereopods) adapted for holding or clinging, the dactyl is as long or longer than the propodus, strongly developed and recurved. [Wetzer et al. 1997]
